Early every year we begin the worry-not worry process of looking at the sand levels at our favorite beach volleyball venue. Rehoboth Beach, Delaware will be our May destination and the width of that beach is crucial to the success of our two beach volleyball tournaments there. Nor’easters are common and the sand gets moved like sand. So we sweat and worry and talk and no matter what we do, the beach is still driven by the elements – not us. Once could say we have been lucky to have missed but one tournament in our 40 yer history.
